Okay, I've decided to post timely entries (though this isn't exactly timely but you can't deny it's an improvement!) and hopefully sustain this trend.

First and foremost, I'd like to exclaim out loud that I'VE FINALLY GRADUATED FROM SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC!

I can so totally imagine myself standing on top of some mountain somewhere doing that. A little dramatic but you get what I mean.

Didn't expect 3 whole years would whizz past just like that. I can still remember my first day as a freshie, lost and shy as can be. Come to think of it, Year 1 photos might start surfacing on Facebook real soon. Now, that would be HORRIFYING.

Lets' reflect.

With all the debate about Polys VS JCs going on every single year, it makes me wonder what is the education system trying to get at. I mean, we read reports after reports about how many 9-pointers are going the Poly route and all but think about it, in the end, majority of the seats in the local government Universities still go to the JC students. Now, how's that fair you might ask. Beats me.

HOWEVER, given a choice, I'd take this route all over again (but this time I'll promise to work harder. Hehe) and I'm not saying for the sake of it. The many experiences I've gained and the friendships forged are priceless. I'm truly grateful for having awesome lecturers/team mates/friends around me for the past 3 years. Thanks guys!

Hello, to whoever's still reading this blog of mine (I know the numbers have been dwindling but who cares? HAHA), I've got awesome news for you!

I've got off my lazy bums and finally got on to uploading some photos I took during my trip to Bali. Didn't take that many photos but they'll do just fine.

Facts about Bali:

Oh, did you know Bali shares the same timezone as Singapore when it's located further away than Batam and majority of the Balinese are Hindus?

So it was my first time traveling with SIA and till now I really don't get what's all the hype about the gorgeous Air Stewardess. No offense but I'm kinda disappointed.

The landing was the most exciting part of the journey with some turbulence caused by the torrential rain. Felt like a roller coaster, kinda fun actually. Hahaha.

This was our first dinner stop. Thank goodness, FOOD finally.

I'm sorry for abandoning you for so long. My sincere apologies.

My life's been rather mundane ever since I returned to Mainland Singapore from Bali, Indonesia. It feels like I'm merely going through the motion every single day. Not fun, I kid you not.

Then, I asked for a sign. Anything that would put a genuine smile on my face again and it dawned on me, I've been seeing signs all around me after all. First the egg with the double yolk then the Horoscope (not really into it but whatever) about the light at the end of the tunnel.

Things seem to be looking brighter after all. I hope the breakthrough will happen real soon :)

If there's any animation that I'd strongly encourage you to watch, it'll definitely be this one. Don't be put off by its 16 minute duration (I know, we're Singaporeans and we're ALWAYS hard pressed for time). It is totally worth it!

Wanna hear my ultimate April Fool's Day prank? Okay, it wasn't entirely my idea, more like a collective one that included the cooperation of approximately 80 people.

It took place in the fateful year of 2006. We were in Secondary 4 then.

Since Teacher A taught both classes 4C and 4D, someone had an ingenious idea to switch classes before the first lesson. It was done so smoothly and promptly that everyone was able to settle into their respective classes like it's any other ordinary day.

Then came Teacher A, whose first lesson was with 4C. She began setting up the laptop to start the lesson proper, not realising that she was with a different 'audience'. The strangest/funniest part was, this went on for a good 30 minutes or so.

If I remembered correctly, if it wasn't for me, Teacher A would've continued with the lesson. I was caught talking at the back of the class and it kinda made her stop to think about it and realised that something's up.

So, she went to the neighbouring class to check and lo and behold, HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S :)

For those of you who are still in the dark (ironic but get it? lol), I shall spare some time to shed some light upon you life. Tonight people from around the world will observe this significant 1 hour event in a bid to build a sustainable future on this dear planet of ours.

I think by now you'd have realised the vast climate change this few weeks/months, the heavy downpours coupled with the scorching Sun. All these are the effects of global warming and what not.

If you ask me, I'd say that this is a commendable initiative by WWF in raising awareness about these climate issues that are becoming more prominent as the days go by. 60 minutes can make a huge difference.

Participate and show your support for our dear planet. Don't ever think that you are too insignificant to make a contribution. Do you part, won't you? :)

I feel like I've just made a speech but I think you get the gist of it. You might think this whole idea if plain crazy but look around and observe the climate, I think that alone can speak for itself.

CASS Farewell Party + Random Shots

After being separated as we were posted to various part of this tiny island for for internship, we were finally reunited at the CASS Farewell Assembly. HAHAHA. Cliche to the max.

I guess everyone somehow looked different and I'd say for the better. Strange huh? I mean some of them worked crazy hours into the wee hours of the morning. Maybe good company at the workplace plays a huge part too. Mine was awesome!

The first shot was taken by Hazwan, he told Eve to "give [me] hot" and that's the er, outcome. HAHAH!

This was supposed to feature Dexter and me but it's a common sight to see extra faces.

Oh did I mention, my camera was hijacked and spammed. LOL

If people can't tell I'm like 20, they should probably

In any case, it's not applicable to me. I mean I doubt I have any fats to lose in the first place. I wish I were a tad meatier, so it would be much easier to shop for clothes. The most annoying thing would be eyeing on a particular cute apparel only to have my hopes dashed because I'm just too tiny to fit into it. Mind you, it's not that I'm on a diet or something to be this thin, I hate it too. Must be the genes. Hehehe.

Anyone out there with the same issue? It'll be encouraging to know that I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Like what I've mentioned in my earlier entry, I was reading this intriguing article pertaining to the latest video by Lady GaGa Feat. Beyonce, "Telephone". It makes the whole video much clearer than my initial perception.

Apparently, underneath the seemingly random set of clips, clothes, actions and lyrics, there are traces of symbolism and signs that an average Joe may fail to realize on face value.

Since I haven't really done much research on this topic, I'm in no position to comment if the article is credible or if the facts are true.

However, for the benefit of those who are interested. It might turn out to be an eye-opening read after all.

Someone once told me, the world isn't in black or white rather, it's in shades of grey. It just goes to show that not everything is as it seems, so don't be oblivious to your surroundings, especially to what you're exposed to by the media. They are, after all, the gatekeepers who decides what the masses get to see or hear.

All you have to do is to discern and judge for yourself and if the pieces fit, viola!

I was reading an intriguing article just now about the music industry. Apparently, not everything is as it seems, often there're so many hidden symbols/signs hidden all over the music/video, it takes more than an average Joe to figure it out.

After combing through a long analytical article, I kinda had the heebie-jeebies because it all seems so weird. Now, the 'Telephone" video makes a lot of sense.

Word of advice, be more aware of the media content exposed to you because you'll never know.

So finally, the long awaited music video is out! The news was all over Twitter, guess it must have built up a lot of hype in these few months. It's a 9 minute video, so technically speaking since the song is only about 4 minutes long, there should be a storyline to go along with it. I bet there'll be a 3rd sequel because this is a continuation of Paparazzi.

My lil sister's a HUGE GaGa fan, so we set aside some time to watch the much talked about video. As the video played, an observant viewer would notice that the video has tons of product placement. DAY 3 - Roof, Chatuchak & Chinatown

Hi this how I spent my third day in Bangkok. The outdoor scenery at the 84th storey (we had to climb one level up) was breathtaking. Never in my life have I been at such a great height. Luckily my camera recovered by then.

DAY 2 - Half day city tour

Yes, finally! Sorry to keep you in suspense for so long! - Guilty face-

On day 2 of the trip, I got to see my camera's true colours. I found out that it has quite a temper of its own. The crazy thing is, it starts going bonkers whenever I have something interesting to take!

So, the bottom half of the photos here are taken with my HTC Diamond 2. I must say, it is as clear as my 10.1 megapixel camera. Or maybe that's a sign to get a new camera? I mean it's already 2 years old~ Hehehe.

Forgive me for the bad quality of the first picture. I wanted a shot that had me having breakfast + the view of the buildings below. I wanted mom's help to snap the picture but she was busy with something else, so she promised to help me with it the next day (as you already know, my camera went crazy by then).

Anyway, her friend helped me with it and I guess this was the first sign that my camera was about to snap. Conclusion:

Thought it'd be easier to clarify your doubts here instead.

Well like many other institutions in Singapore, having good grades is the key to everything, same for doing a degree in local universities. Based on last year's admission grades, I'd safely say that having a GPA of 3.5 and above would be quite safe to enter a local university.

That does not guarantee that you'll be able to enroll into any course of your choice because certain diplomas only allow you to choose from a limited number of degree courses but you'll get some module exemptions.

My advice is really to sit down and plan before making up your mind on your choice of tertiary institution. Truth is, the competition in Singapore is way too tough compared to other countries.

But if you ask me, I feel that the safer/easier route to university would still be the JCs. Apparently, more seats in each course are allocated to them. Oh and please don't get the misconception that Poly is the 'slacker' choice because it's not, the projects can drive you crazehhhh. Trust me, I know. Poly/JC, you'll just have to work hard to get the course you want in university, especially so when now there are so many 9 pointers going the poly route which means even more competition!

Yup, that's my take. I do hope I was of some help :)

P.S. I've never regretted choosing the poly route even though I could get into a JC.

Day 1

My internship has been awesome because of all the opportunities I've been given thus far. I'm enjoying it.

One of the highlights was helping to coordinate a trip to Bangkok for their employees. We took a 2 hours flight on Thai Airways and stayed at Baiyoke Sky Hotel (the tallest hotel in Thailand).

This is DAY 1 of my visit there. Enjoy.

Seems like Apple has finally launched its much anticipated product - the iPad. Yes, you heard me right. I'm not really into the product but basically it's a larger version of the iPhone, or so I heard.

The thing that got everyone talking aobut the iPad would be it's very er, interesting product name. I mean, they have the iPad, then what's next? The iTampon or the iPad Maxi? Oh come on. Guess what, the iTampon even became a trending topic on Twitter! I must say, lunch time certainly has gotten a tad more interesting today.

If you take this from another perspective, maybe this product launch didn't fail after all. You see, Apple managed to get everyone talking about its product, whether they are even interested in purchasing it is another point altogether but it created hype, LOADS of it. Apple is great at creating buzz, just look at the iPhone launch. The next thing you know, everyone around you owns a set of iPhone.

I don't really know whether the iPad will be a hit amongst their target audience but I have to commend their 'publicity stunt' if it was an intended thing.

Check out Madtv's spoof of the iPad. It's hilarioussssssss! Strange though because that video was created 3 years ago!

It's been a while since I wrote something personal because I realize I do post a lot of photos. Oh yes, there's more to come :)

It's already the 3rd day of 2010 a brand new year, before you know it, it's gonna be the 31st December all over again. Though days may go by like a passing gust of wind, I just wanna be thankful for the people who stood firmly together me through the years, especially 2009.

People come but not many stay. Those awesome ones are those who'll knock some sense into you when you go off track (sometimes the hard way, OUCH). Haha, yeah but I'm glad they're there.

Also after 5 years, hanging out with your Secondary School buddies still feels like the good old days. All those teasings and old jokes haven't died off. I guess that's the beauty of friendship. We should meet up more often (Don't care what HongSiah says!).

The last day of yet another year

So here we are again, at the end of another year, going on to a new decade of the millennium.

Well, loads of stuff happened in 2009, both good and bad (and by that I mean both extremes). I guess with all these experiences come a lesson to learn.

Since we're graduating after internship, it'd mean that there'll be no more lessons! :(

Today's like the second last day of 2009. Don't get me started, I shall leave that reflection nonsense for tomorrow. Hehehe.

I've been getting all sorts of illness these few weeks. I seldom fall ill and when I do it just doesn't wanna go away. Grrrr. BE GONE!

Anyway, my christmas tree shrunk this year. From the VERY tall tree to a much shorter one. Ahh, I'll miss you big guy. I remember how W459/W362 helped to decorate the tree the past 2 years. It was awesome because it gave some people a chance to actually help set up a Christmas tree. It was a good bonding session too with many of us holding onto the lights and walking round and round the tree.

Christmas this year was quite awesome. I felt that my mom's side of the family is more bonded and that's kinda nice (and it also means more presents for US kids). Hehehe. But I shall post some Christmas service photos first :)

This was taken quite some time ago when we decided to go to Plaza Singapura after classes, under the influence of Gary Tan who subconsciously lured us there. HAHAHA.

This 3 course dinner was part of our module and through it, we were taught dining etiquette. I remember telling some people that after that day, I'm gonna eat in a more professional and elegant way. I shall leave you to be the judge of that.

Among all my friends, we can agree that only Jenn can pull it off. As it was, our first course was bread with butter and soup. Mind you, the bread was so darn hard, the knife was almost useless. In the end everyone of us, but Jenn used our hands. Haha. Yes, so much for being professional.

U-TRIBE!

Had U-Tribe yesterday at Pulau Ubin with KEL Zone and it was a resounding success! There were 12 Teams/Tribes of Israel each with about 7-9 members. I had the chance to lead the Benjamin Tribe!

Yes, it's been a long time since I went crazy and ran around. It did feel good like I was releasing the stress I had buried in me. Also, it was my first time at Pulau Ubin, don't laugh!

There were several stuff that got me thinking/I didn't know about.

1. Oh so there are people living there

2. Pulau Ubin is quite BIG

3. How can anyone survive without a bus/MRT?

4. This doesn't look one bit like Singapore

5. Was I in a foreign land?

6. I freaking washed my hands in murky brown water

7. I so can't imagine myself living there

8. Why are the toilets located so far away?

9. The rental for the bicycles is cheap though ($2)

Don't call me princess or anything, I bravely sucked it up without complaining much (except for the water bomb part, explain that later). These were just some stuff going through my mind.

I had a great time knowing my tribe members and I'm glad they were enthusiastic, supportive and cooperative as a tribe. So proud of them.

The mass game was the craziest one. Water bomb. Let me tell you this, they aren't any ordinary water bombs, when I saw that they were colourful, two things came to mind. One, after a long run, finally something to drink! Two, what kinda concoction did they come up with?!

Should have known, sea water, soy sauce, ink, egg yolk, flour and any other weird stuff you can think of.

There I was, sitting so quietly looking around when suddenly someone stood behind me and said "Hi Shirley". The next thing I knew, some liquid landed on my head and I began to reek. Yeah, imagine that. He did it twice! Second time, it landed right smack on my back. Boy was it painful. Thanks Kelvin. Haha.

It was all in the name of fun. Everyone was running around with the colourful water bombs and you can probably guess how bad everyone smelt after the game. All in all, I had fun and I also became two tones darker. The mosquitoes didn't spare me either. My legs feel wobbly and the muscle aches have kicked in. HAHAHA.

I'd like to thank Kevin, Zaccheus, ChinMing, Kevin, Tania and Angel for helping me out. You guys are awesome! Hope to see you around aite :)

We were quite nonsense, when we took our first step in, we were already grabbing on to each other, yes imagine 10 of us doing that. Then there was a lot of screaming, yes it was from us. HAHAHA.

We walked around the place like a school of fish, or rather, we ran. Come to think of it, it was really funny. Then Messiah had to go around grabbing our legs making us shriek. Annoying right.

26 NOVEMBER 2009.

It was a bittersweet experience traveling to school this week, knowing it's the final week before we enter the real world. It's not like I'm graduating tomorrow or something but it was the very last time I'm going to SP to attend normal lessons.

I kinda felt the pinch on Tuesday (24Nov), when I reached campus at 730am to prepare myself for PP CA2 interview. I doubt I ever gone to school that early alone before. The feeling was great. No crowds, no rush, no distractions, just me walking all by myself thinking, reflecting. I seldom take slow walks to School of Business.

While walking, I was thinking through the 3 years, people I've met, known, forgotten, don't wanna remember. There were so many places in school where memories were created. That thought made me smile for a while.

Then as I looked up at the big red "I want I can @ SP" banner, I can't help but to think of the friendships that were made and how it progressed. However, there were some memories, I really don't wish to relive.

I guess, my experience in school was awesome. I didn't regret taking the polytechnic route at all. It did open my eyes to the real world and how's everything is in shades of grey.

I'll miss you guys, lecturers and classmates.

Our cameras were spammed with photos! All the way from Bukit Batok to Sentosa. We waited for this cab for 45 minutes! Seriously, everyone was beginning to lose their temper. It didn't help that it kinda poured quite heavily. It did add on to the atmosphere though.

Thank goodness, it stopped after a while. Imagine walking around in our costumes under the rain. Note to self, never wear heels when you know you're gonna walk, A LOT.

I can't believe in this day and age, I could actually forget to bring my mobile phone out with me. There are several electronic devices I can never leave home without, namely my iPod Classic, my HTC Touch Diamond 2 and my Sony T300 camera. Apparently, I forgot my phone on the fateful Friday the 13th.

The strangest part was I didn't realise it till I was in the train en route to campus. I begun searching through my bag franctically hoping that my precious is not lost, only to realise that yes, I left it on the dining table. Great.

My reflex thought was: "I got to so tweet thing NOW". It was a -smack forehead- moment because my phone's not with me to tweet and it's not logical to whip out my laptop for an eight minute train ride to Jurong East. It sure did feel like the beginning of a bad day.

I was supposed to be in school early for the class phototaking session and I didn't know where's the venue. How awesome right? I closed my eyes and mumbled a prayer before the train reached Dover station. I was right on time and luckily, Stella was waiting at the station! You have no idea how relieved I was there and then.

The rest of the day was quite a breeze because my brain didn't fail me when I wanted to recall some phone numbers. With the help of Twitter, Facebook and MSN Messenger, contacting people via social media proved to be pretty much possible.

That got me thinking, do we still spend a lot of time using our mobile phones to make phone calls or are we using it to access social media websites? Yes, one can always argue that a mobile phone's main purpose is for making calls especially during emergencies. Other than that, most of your friends are connected to you one way or another via social media.

Even so, we use mobile phones to go online because, well, it's mobile. It takes away the hassle of switching on your laptop just to check an update.

It so happened that it was an emergency-free day and I survived!

Random thought.

I joined them in the Halloween outing this year! It was quite exciting, really. It was a last minute thing again but we managed to get tickets to the event! 8 of us met up at Messiah's place around 5pm and begun dressing up for the occasion. Oh, Messiah's cooking skills are quite good. He made us pasta and it was delicious! Yum.

By that, I mean never publish your dirty little secrets or your hatred for someone online. I can assure you that somehow or rather, it can be traced. Who knows, five years down the road, you might regret doing what you did when you’re younger be it on Facebook, Twitter or any other online medium.

Just so you know, future employers/fellow employees now make use of the internet to find out stuff about you and what you’re saying about them. It’s a whole new level of stalking/research altogether. What with all the new technologies that are emerging in today’s society, a stranger you never knew existed might know you so well, it’s freaky.

So please, maintain a healthy reputation online. It might cause you your job.

Yet another guest speaker (Pat Law) for today's lecture. It was pushed to one hour before and started at 8am. Early? Yes! After being chided on Monday for being late, we have reformed! I was 10 minutes early today.

Well for NCT lecture, we had a special guest speaker who came and spoke to us about the importance of Twitter and how it can be part of your everyday life. She's Stephie Tan, a freelance writer (Stephie Says) who owns a blog shop (Stephie's Shop) and is also the co-founder of a local fashion blog (Fashion Nation).

I'd say, everyone would wanna have her kind of lifestyle. Being paid to write stuff and she even gets invited to go overseas to cover certain events. I didn't know blogging can get you quite far. Interesting career ain't it?

I can't help but agree that Twitter is indeed becoming an integral part in our lives. I personally joined Twitter exactly 2 months ago and to date, I have 1,067 tweets! Don't be scared okay? HAHA. I used to have the misconception that Twitter is for people to update others on the little stuff that happens in their daily lives. E.g. I need to pee. Yes, I thought the whole idea was ridiculous.

Nevertheless, I got hooked. I did try psycho-ing a few of my friends to join Twitter so we can follower each other and make Twitter interesting but it kind of backfired though some of them did try for a few days. Luckily, my classmates have Twitter accounts then, so it was an instant hit for me.

Then one day, I saw a baby bat lying on the road in broad daylight (I don't know if it was dead) and I badly wanted to Tweet about it. It kind of tweaked my heartstrings. It was because of that incident, I decided to join Tweet.sg (no more new sign ups) where I can tweet on the go by sending an text message to a local number and it updates your Twitter account directly. Awesome right?

Maybe you should be more active on your accounts too. Please don't tweet nonsense and spam your friend's update list. At least let it be beneficial information for someone out there. There's so much more about Twitter that I want to say but I'll leave it to another day. Information overload already.

Wisdom of Crowds

Well, the thing that I've learnt and impacted me the most during NCT module would have to be the Wisdom of Crowds. So what is the Wisdom of Crowds?

The average answer from a group of people is proven to be more accurate than the answer from one expert on that particular subject. Amazing isn't it?

I think this is quite true because Viha and Vera carried out an experiment in class. It's about guessing the number of jellybeans in the jar. Messiah was appointed as the 'expert' in the subject, while the rest of us are the people from diverse backgrounds.

So the average of 20 0f our guesses proved to be closer to the number of jellybeans in the jar than what Messiah has guessed. For this to work, there has to be these 4 factors, Diversity of opinion, Independence, Decentralization and Aggregation.

Diversity of opinion - Everyone should have their own set of beliefs and information
Independence - People's opinions should not be influenced by others around them
Decentralization - Drawing on local knowledge
Aggregation - The average of everyone's opinion

Wisdom of Crowds is used in several websites that we frequent, namely, Wikipedia and Amazon.

Maybe you should try playing the jellybean game!

Minority Report

Well, I'm not sure if you've seen Minority Report because it was released in 2002 and it was directed by Steven Spielberg.

The movie takes place in the year 2054 when criminals are caught even before they commit a crime. This can be done because of the advancement in technology and the use of the 3 psychics. It so happened that one of the psychics predicted that one of the officers in the special unit (Tom Cruise) will commit a murder and he sets out to prove his innocence.

So we watched this movie during NCT tutorial but not the whole movie though, just parts of it. It's been a long time since I watched a movie in class, the last time was in secondary school I think?

Anyway about the movie, it's very futuristic, kinda cool and scary at the same time to see how advanced technology can potentially be, based on what I saw e.g. the spider robots,

the cars driving on the sides of buildings and the

advertisements that targeted specifically at the individual just by scanning their eyes.

Will the world really become like this 50 years down the road? I like it the way it is now though, instead of relying fully on technology. I can't deny that technology has helped us in many ways. One of which is through instant messenger which helps us to communicate with people who are geographically separated from us.

Imagine the cartoon characters on the cereal boxes becoming animated (there's a part of it in the movie). Wow, then there'll be more opportunities to advertise and reach out to the target market based on a database of stored user information. Yes, that would also mean, you can be easily tracked down.

It was quite a last minute thing and I decided to go after Cheryl gave me a call. Apparently, Ms Kwa has good contacts and she did tweeted about this "exclusive event that we won't regret".

It was also a rare opportunity because I heard that Yahoo! seldom allows the public to enter their premises. This event in particular was only targeted at bloggers, such as yours truly.

The event was mainly about the launch of their newest campaign, Youreka. Youreka is a mircrosite that aims to promote Yahoo! and engage their customers. In the site, there's a treasure hunt and the aim of it is to find the hidden ticket. Once found, enter your Yahoo! ID and claim your prize.

Furthermore, when you claim your prize, you'll stand a chance to win more goodies if you manage to find the hidden purple tickets to compete at an event at the Singapore Flyer. I must say, the prizes are quite attractive. There's a Honda Jazz, Blackberry Curve and a pair of Adidas shoes!

So, there was this little pop quiz. We had to guess how many tiny squares are there in that photo below (it's a completely filled rectangle). Thank God for calculators because Cheryl and I aced Math and got the correct answer! It's 392. HAHAHA.

That's our awesome prize! Too bad they only had one of it.

We couldn't decide who should bring it home, so we gave it to Ms Kwa.

Now it's happily sitting in her office.

I thought today is an extended Deepavali holiday for some people and that explained why the train to Jurong East was kinda empty but I chose to wait for the Pasir Ris train. The next thing I knew, I was already tweeting about it. HAHAHA.

I was so wrong because the next train was packed and it was really bad. When I reached Dover. It was another sight to behold. I haven't seen so many people at Dover station in a long time! I guess this only happens in the first few weeks of school. Why am I not surprised.

I think I was 5 minutes late today. Upon entering the class, everyone started laughing and I knew why only after looking at the screen! My tweet about the empty train was there for all to see. HAHAHA.

NCT seems to be an interesting module. All of us are required to create a Twitter, Facebook and Wordpress account for this module. That would explain why I suddenly have an influx of followers on Twitter. Don't you wish you could be in my class? We deal with Facebook and Twitter!

I really feel like a social media junkie. I have like Blogger, Tumblr, Twitter, LJ, Wordpress and my abandoned Friendster account. I'm amazed.

Anyway, tomorrow's a no-school-day! Hurray!

This was the rest of our day before we headed back to Singapore. Some of the photos are really ugly because the lighting was bad. Forgive me. :)

My mom badly wanted to eat some durians, so the 6 of us drove around town to find durians. HAHAHA. I don't hate durians but I'm not a big fan of it either. I must say, they were quite delectable.

The following photos were taken in a moving vehicle. I think my camera's awesome to be able to snap such clear photos or maybe it's the photographer! HAHAHA. I kid.

One thing I realised in Malaysia is the number of advertisements! Billboards after billboards along the roads. Quite interesting though. (Maybe it's just because I'm a media student, so I take more notice of stuff like that. Haha)

You don't see this in Singapore but in Malaysia, Mamee (the maggi snack), is advertised nearly everywhere. Look at the back of the bus.

That's the hospital-looking hotel we stayed in. The exterior might not catch your eye but the sea view and the ambience inside is awesome.

10th - 11th October 2009

I was asked to tag with Mommy and her colleagues for a company holiday trip to Malacca. I sat in the front, beside the driver's seat! HAHAHA. Then there were like 15 cars going altogether.

Since the roads in Malaysia are long and don't have many traffic lights, We ended up racing with the boss. The fastest we went was about 180km/hr. We could've gone faster if not for the traffic police parked in front. Luckily we didn't get fined. Awesome or what?!

Lisa's like my 5th maid. Her contract ended and she wanted to go back to further her studies I think. So there we were, sending her off.

After that daddy drove us to Linda's place, in Punggol. I realised that I've a lot of relatives living in the other corner of Singapore.

That kitten there is Alicia, the newest member to her family. I've no preference over cats and dogs because I find them both so adorable especially when they wanna show their affection.

Can you believe it, I forgot today's results day (though Gary kinda reminded me last afternoon but it slipped my mind), until Kenny asked me about it on MSN this morning.

It wasn't that bad. My best GPA throughout these 3 years. From what I've seen on Twitter and Facebook, everyone's quite satisfied with it.

Been through so much drama ever since this semester started. I'm glad I was able to live through it. Thank God for the strength, both emotional and mental.

There's hope after all :D

Hi there, I'm blogging from the other side of Singapore. I'm at my family chalet. I've been in the pool quite a lot and I think I look more tanned now. HAHAHA. Colour is not an issue for me, if it's for you then too bad.

Oh, I found out why I couldn't sleep last night, I drank coffee before I slept. Yes, I know, how smart right? I finally managed to sleep properly at 6am. Really appreciate those who stayed up with me. You are nice :)

I realised that it's during festivals when I really get to catch up with old friends who are worth my time. Hari Raya was just one of them. Now that the fasting month is over, I won't be getting anymore weird looks from the people around when I happily snack on something in public in broad daylight. You've no idea, how many of those I get.

Even on Sunday. I was out with casual clothes and everywhere I turned, there were big groups of people clad in traditional costumes, and the 'weird stare saga' began again. Heh

Okay, something to make you laugh. I promise it'll be the last!
