The world out there is facing so many issues and here we are feeling all secured on this tiny island of ours, which many don't even know exists. Yes, you have no idea how thankful I am to be living in Singapore.
The situation in Mumbai, India is really appalling and devastating with hotels bombed and so on, leaving many people dead and injured as a result. Hostages were captured and killed. Oh gosh and you wonder how heartless can those murderous people be and we're talking about the 21 century here. Seriously, I despise such acts of inhumanity.
Then in Thailand, protesters are occupying the airports causing inconvenience to many tourists/people who want to catch their flights. Now they have to buy tickets for alternative routes to their destination.
Let's not forget about the financial crisis amidst all these.
There you go, so many things are going on in different parts of the world. It's all over the news and it's the reality of the world out there. Though we see all of it off a TV/computer screen, it's definitely not an educational documentary my friend.
Then again, the media chooses what's appropriate for the public, so yeah what they show is what we get/know unless we're really there at the scene itself.
