Round and Round We Go Friday, September 19, 2008

I haven't got the time to upload some photos so since I'm here why not? I'm feeling so exhausted and my eyes are so heavy. It's been a long day and tomorrow's gonna be just the same but with more fun, hopefully. :)
The Mid Autumn festival has just passed and I know I ate a lot of mooncakes. It's amazing how mooncakes evolved from the conventional lotus fillings to chocolate, pineapple and even plum fillings. Of course, who can miss the snow-skin ones? All are marketing strategies to outwit one another and gain market share. HAHAHA. Am I even talking sense?
In Singapore, you don't really get to feel the festive atmosphere that much anymore and this applies to nearly all the festivals we have. Even during this time, they weren't many children playing with candles, lanterns or even running around. Seems like we've become so nonchalant about the things that once brought us such fond memories. Oh well.
I was at the park with Joyce, Evelyn (her sister) and Shireen. It's been like 54654321 yearxz since I last saw Joyce Wong. It's ironic how we live so near (opposite block) yet we don't have the chance to meet up that often. I'm just so glad that even when life's so hectic, our friendship is still as strong. Keep in contact ok?
The full moon in all it's glory, reflecting the light from the Sun. Nice curves. Each having the potential to sustain a feeble flame. A multitude of candles is available but which is willing to be the first to lay down its life? The 2 became 1. Fusion. There's only ONE WAY. Each helping each to shine. And the once feeble flame begins to grow. Shedding light onto the dark alley. Every single one has significance, whether near or far Simply because they're built to last. Holding on as it comes to a closure, one swish and its life is over. Just a fragment of what's left. You fought the wrath of the wind and now it's time to relent. Right back to the beginning, a puddle of molten wax. The moon NEAR my fingertips.
