Let's Play Mind Games. Thursday, September 11, 2008
8:00 pm
We're going on steadily to the 2nd week of our 6 weeks break.
During this period of time, I've rekindled my passion for a certain mentally stimulating game - Chess. By that, I mean the real deal, definitely not the online version. (Those 2 lines made me sound so intellectual. HAHAHA)
Of course, it takes two hands to clap, so my opponent is none other than Shireen Cindy Koh, my sister. I'm proud to say, I've taught her well (ok, maybe that's true to a certain extent). She's quite good at it, so there's a 50% chance that she might win each game! No, chess is not as boring as you think. It's quite fun actually, if you know how to play it.
It was my 2nd maid who taught me how to play chess. She's also the one who can play the drums, guitar and had a band in Indonesia (oh, why didn't I absorb some skills from her?!).
It's like a battle to conquer the opponent's territory and corner the King! The aim of the game is also the feel good part to say "Checkmate" and give that moving eyebrow emoticon look. Hehehe.
