When everything seems to go so wrong, you'll start to ponder if you're the cause of it. Often, you'll end up being the victim of circumstances but sometimes, I think it's just me.
These days are filled with late nights, stress, projects, assignments, tests, incessant coughing, loss of voice, dozing off in front of the laptop, oh-my-understanding-weather and long days. I think SP is gradually becoming my second home. There's still so many other things to keep in mind - my personal life, my family, my cell group and my connect group. Yes, I'm able to hide these from most people but ultimately, someone is aware of what I'm going through because..
“God knows the secrets of our hearts.” Psalm 44:21
I can't wait for the September holidays to arrive but the thought of being able to survive August is already a feat. Nevertheless, I shall be positive about it. Time management is of the essence. It struck me when someone told me to be disciplined and stay away from MSN messenger to be productive. I think that's very true. Guilty as charged.
Actually, I was quite blessed by a testimony shared during cell group meeting last Sunday. During this period of time, most poly students have deadlines to meet and are all busy with their own stuff (somewhat in the position I'm in). This verse really impacted me and I feel so comforted knowing this very fact.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
I'm only human and of course life isn't a bed of roses. It's an assurance that God knows everything you're going through and He can be a source of comfort for you and me.
I'm believing for a breakthrough in my personal life and in my connect group. I was quite surprised when Rae called me just now to pray with and for me and my connect group. Hehehe. Thank you Mum no. 2! I feel so blessed to have you as my cell group leader. Don't worry, you're not running this marathon alone, you have us (Valerie, Guowei, Isaac and me) by your side. Continue to believe in yourself and rest assured that our efforts will surely bear good fruits in time to come. Love you deep deep :)
